MASS IMPACT Volleyball Club aims to provide an engaging and experienced coaching staff. Athletes can expect to work with a variety of coaches, allowing them to benefit from a wide range of styles and expertise.
George LeVasseur CLUB DIRECTOR
George LeVasseur has coached High School and Club Volleyball in the North Shore for the past 12 years. As the originator of the Danvers High School program, he has led the Falcons to an impressive 129-55, a .701 win percentage. Not only has Coach LeVasseur been recognized locally as the MIAA Coach of the Year in 2018, he has also been recognized nationally by the American Volleyball Coaches Association by being named as one of the top 30 coaches under the age of 30 in 2019, 30 Under 30. He firmly believes in building skills through character, and teaching kids to define themselves as they grow into the athlete's they've always wanted to become.

Brent Ashley ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Brent Ashley is the head coach at Lynnfield High School, where he teaches English and coaches baseball. Originally from Washington, Brent has spent the last seven years at Lynnfield developing young athletes into college-ready teammates. Brent has helped lead his program to six North Finals and one State Finals. In just two years as head coach, he led his team to two North Divisional Finals and was named Division II Coach of the Year by the Boston Globe in 2018. With an interest in statistics, Brent encourages athletes to think strategically about the game. Brent emphasizes defense and serve receive as his favorite skills to teach, breaking down passing techniques and altering defensive tempo to create a smoother and more competitive offense. He looks forward to helping athletes elevate their game and work together to achieve their goals.
Mae Driscoll ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Mae Driscoll is the head coach at Arlington Catholic High School, where she played volleyball and graduated from in 2013. Her years as a high school athlete and captain culminated in a run to the Division 2 North Final. She discovered her love for coaching while working with younger athletes in high school and throughout her college career at Providence College. Mae is most at home in a loud gym, encouraging her athletes to build confidence in themselves and their ability through fast-paced practices and high energy competition. She is excited to be surrounded by such a driven coaching staff and cannot wait to help athletes stand a bit taller and fall even more in the love with the game that has given her so much.
Christin Augustini
Christin Augustini (Springfield ‘11) is the head girls’ volleyball coach at North Andover High School, where the Scarlet Knights captured the 2019 Merrimac Valley League Championship in her inaugural season. Prior to North Andover, she led the Whittier Tech. Varsity program from 2016-2018, helping transform the culture of an underperforming program and paving the way to back-to-back state tournament appearances. Christin is also a Certified Volleyball Offical. She prides herself on mentoring the whole athlete and aims to create passionate, well-rounded players with high volleyball skill & IQ, as well as engaged citizens who give back to their communities and the sport. Christin is excited to collaborate with a strong team of coaches at MASS IMPACT, and continue to grow the sport of women’s volleyball. A native of Falmouth, MA, “Coach A.” teaches middle school in Andover.
Alexis Bedard
Alexis Bedard has been the varsity coach at Georgetown High for 4 years, and also was previously the JV coach at Bishop Fenwick High School. She played 4 years at Bishop Fenwick where she was a senior captain and right side hitter, taking home the Division 2 North title her junior year. Alexis graduated from Salem State University in 2019 while pregnant with her now 2 year old son, Castiel. During her first year of college, Alexis decided to start coaching. She is dedicated in bringing out the best in all her players and pushing them to improve at their fullest potential each and every day.
Brooke Bell
Brooke attended Keene State as their starting setter, graduating in 2017. Prior to her college volleyball career, Brooke played four years for Melrose High School. She was named Middlesex League All-Star, 2-year Boston Globe All-Scholastic, 2-year Boston Herald All-Scholastic, 2-time MGVCA All State Team, and led her team to the State Championships her senior year. Brooke was also recently named to the Boston Herald All-Decade Team.
Jane Bergin
Jane Bergin is the head coach of girl's volleyball at Andover High School and head coach of boy's volleyball at Lexington High School, and has over 450 wins during her career. Jane is passionate about getting future athletes excited about the sport. As our youth director, Jane is looking forward to breaking down the basics in a fun and enthusiastic way to ensure athletes new to the sport, will fall in love with it for life.
Anna Bryk
Anna Bryk is a student at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music for Vocal Performance. Anna was a starting middle blocker for North Reading High School Volleyball from sophomore to senior year. She played on power and national teams for Coach George starting freshman year and played her senior club season at Mass Impact. Falling in love with the sport and playing all throughout her high school career gave her new outlooks on and off the court. Ending up at a college where they don’t have sports drove her to want to coach and stay with the game. She is excited to work with athletes that all have the same drive to work hard together while all having individual goals.
Meghan Curro
Meghan Curro is the JV coach at The Cambridge Matignon School and has been part of the program since 2018. Prior to coaching, she played 4 years at Wahconah Regional High School where she was a senior captain and played as a setter and libero. Throughout high school she also played club volleyball, in recreational leagues, and helped run clinics in the Berkshires. After high school, she went to UMass Dartmouth where she played as a defensive specialist. Since beginning to coach, Meghan’s love of the game has only grown larger. She loves teaching players the game and helping them fine tune their skills.
Lindsay Flaherty
Lindsay Flaherty attended Division I Towson University as a 4-year starter. Her primary position is Middle Blocker, and she graduated the year of 2017. Lindsay holds the school record at Towson University for most games played, ranked in the top 10 for best hitting percentage, and top 3 for most blocks. Lindsay now helps coach the JV team at Matignon High School. Lindsay loves teaching the girls the game and helping them grow their athletic career!
Brianna Han
Brianna Han has been a U15 and U18 club volleyball coach. She played volleyball in high school and was recruited to play Division 2 volleyball for Saint Michael’s College in Vermont. She currently serves as an at large representative on the Yankee Volleyball Board. Brianna enjoys playing both indoor tournaments and outdoor doubles tournaments through AVP. Brianna met her husband, Oliver Han, through the sport and is excited to be coaching alongside him. Off the court, Brianna is a medical assistant in a dermatology office and loves spending time with her dog, Winston.
Oliver Han
Oliver Han has been a U16, U17, and U18 club volleyball coach. Oliver also experience in various capacities with high school programs. He played volleyball in high school and college for the Men’s Club Volleyball team at Purdue. Oliver still plays both indoor tournaments through Yankee Volleyball and outdoor doubles tournaments through AVP. Oliver met his wife, Brianna Han, through the sport and is excited to be coaching alongside her. Off the court, Oliver is a patent attorney and loves to golf and spend time with his dog, Winston, and wife.
Chris LeBlanc
Chris is the varsity coach at Lynn Classical High School where he teaches World History and U.S Government and Politics. With 8 years of experience coaching developing volleyball athletes, Chris's favorite part of coaching is watching athletes improve their skills and build relationships on and off the court. At Lynn Classical, Chris doubles as a tennis coach and was named NEC Coach of the Year in 2019. Chris brings energy - and a dry sense of humor - to the sideline, ensuring every athlete he coaches has the opportunity to better themselves and work to meet their goals.
Colleen McAvoy
Colleen McAvoyis a full-time student at Endicott College and is playing for the Women’s Volleyball Team as a middle blocker. During her time at Endicott, she has earned athletic accolades including 2018 AVCA New England Rookie of the Year, 2018 NEWVA All-Rookie Team, 2018 CCC Rookie of the Year, 2018 All-CCC Second Team, 2019 NEWVA Honorable Mention, and 2021 All-CCC First Team. Colleen has also accumulated academic recognition including 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District®, 2020 CCC Academic All-Conference and 2019 CCC Academic All-Conference. Colleen is studying to get her undergraduate degree in Business Marketing and will be attending Endicott College next fall to earn her Masters in Business Administration. Colleen is very passionate about the game of volleyball and is excited to work with the coaches and players of Mass Impact!
Olivia Morsey
Olivia graduated from Bishop Fenwick high school in 2014 where she played libero on the varsity volleyball team for 3 years, taking home the Division 2 North title her senior year. While in high school, she discovered a love for coaching when she volunteered to help out with youth camps and clinics. Olivia focuses on creating well-rounded athletes who respect the game, coaches, and other athletes on and off the court and is always making sure that her players are getting the most that they can out of their time in the gym. She is excited to join this coaching staff and help to create an environment where the players can thrive.
Megan Murphy
Megan Murphy (aka Murph) attends Endicott College where she is studying nursing and continuing to play the sport she’s grown to love as a Gull! Prior to Endicott Megan was a four year varsity member of the Danvers High volleyball team and started her sophomore through senior years! Megan was an NEC all-star her junior and senior year, a Boston Globe all scholastic and All State Division 2 member her senior year! She’s excited to work with athletes and teach them the sport that has given her so much happiness and guidance off and on the court and help them grow and find a love for the sport she loves as well!
Connor Peterson
Connor Peterson is the JV Coach at Wakefield Memorial High School, just completing his second season with the program. Prior to coaching he played 4 years at Haverhill High School, earning All Conference honors twice as a setter. He was also named to the Boston Herald All State team in 2015. Connor graduated from Suffolk University in 2019, and while they did not have a men’s volleyball team, he has found a way to stay active in the sport through clubs, recreational leagues and tournaments in addition to coaching.
Lindsay Rescott
Lindsay serves as assistant coach at Endicott College, and since her start in 2016 has an 100-36 (.735) overall record. During her time at Endicott, she has coached 15 All-NECC student-athletes, four Offensive or Defensive Players of the Year, two AVCA DIII All-Americans and one AVCA Team Academic Award team. Lindsay's role as a local college coach and assistant at Danvers High School, her experience recruiting for both men's and women's volleyball, and time at Westfield State where she was named a two-time All-MASCAC honoree makes her an asset to all athletes looking to learn more about the ins and outs of being a college student-athlete. In 2019, Lindsay represented Team USA at the Pan American Maccabi Games as a starting opposite where she helped lead the team to a silver medal.
Julie Robarts
Julie comes to us with35 years of playing experience as well as 20+ years as a coach. She ran and played for an adult club team for 10 years, competing all over the country, and was named a USA Volleyball All-American In 1995. Julie is a true fan of the sport, and can be seen (and heard) cheering and shouting encouragement from sidelines everywhere. She especially loves working with setters, helping them elevate their team’s offense through strategy and execution. She’s excited to bring her knowledge, experience, and passion to every session.
Nora Sheehan
Nora Sheehan is currently a full-time student at Regis College and is playing for the Women's Volleyball Team as a setter and defensive specialist. While she did not play in High School, Nora dedicated herself to improving her game by playing on various volleyball clubs throughout her High School experience including North Shore Volleyball Club, Evo Volleyball, and Mill City Volleyball Club. The work she did in club garnered her a spot on the Regis Volleyball team for which she was recruited. She is studying to get her degree in Communications to pursue a career in Public Relations or Marketing Management. Nora loves the game of volleyball and is looking forward to cheering for and inspiring the next generation of athletes from the sidelines on and off the court!
Adam Sweeney
Adam Sweeney played volleyball throughout high school and received a scholarship to play in college. He is now affiliated with Yankee Volleyball and AVP America as an adult player excelling on all surfaces from indoor men's and co-ed formats to grass and sand doubles. He is most proud of his performance at recent regional tournaments placing 5th out of 50 teams in a Men's Grass Doubles Pro division and 17th out of 154 teams in a Co-ed Grass Doubles division. His love and passion for the game is what drew him into coaching for the past 5 years. He especially loves teaching advanced skills such as jump serving, quick temp offenses and overall defensive strategy. He also met his wife Megan Sweeney through the sport in addition to lifelong friendship through the volleyball community.
Megan Sweeney
Megan Sweeney has been a U14, U17, and U18 club volleyball coach for 14 years. She played volleyball throughout high school and made the SNHU team as a walk-on utility player, which is still one of her favorite accomplishments. She is affiliated with Yankee Volleyball and AVP America as an adult player, and her women's team finished in 3rd place at the 2019 USAV indoor nationals. Megan met her husband Adam Sweeney through the sport and it has taught her so much about hard work, dedication and teamwork. She has translated those values into her career as an Advertising and Marketing Director and is dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle through food, nutrition, strength training and conditioning.
